SDF General Command: Raqqa battle was a decisive step that determined the region fate

At the onset, the statement touched upon to the martyrs those who sacrificed themselves to live what we are witnessing today of the stabilization the region, all our fighters are still confronting the foes in the trenches, the people support them, on the blessed occasion, we commemorate our fighters those who sacrificed themselves for the liberation of al-Raqqa City from ISIS/ Daesh intimidation, our forces appreciate the sacrifices of al-Raqqa people who have made tremendous courage in confronting terrorist organization and have supported our forces in the stages of the liberation, in addition to the general people in NE, Syria, who supported our battles to liberate al-Raqqa City, and we must also thank the soldiers of Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.  

The liberation of the city of Raqqa was a clear example of the bold and massive operations of our forces in order to free people in the region and the world from terrorism and injustice. Our fighters have proved their worth of trust to all components in NE, Syria and the world in order to complete their moral, humanitarian and national tasks, the performance of which is a voluntary commitment to our principles of a secure and better life for our people."

The eradication of ISIS was important step to determine the fate of the entire region, " Raqqa liberation campaign represented a great opportunity to focus efforts to eliminate ISIS/Daesh, prevent it from spreading and reduce its danger to the world, the terrorist organization was at the threshold of a dangerous stage to expand its terrorist operations and control over other States and countries in the region and the world, thus creating a danger that could not have been eliminated had it not been for the quick and bold decision of our forces to eliminate it in 2017, so the decision to liberate al-Raqqa City was essential step that specified the fate of the region.

All the efforts of al-Raqqa people are appreciated to house the Syrians from other areas, after the liberation Raqqa city witnessed the stability and security, we affirm that we will always remain with them to maintain security, stability and community development at various levels, we also look forward to the support of the international community to complete the incomplete reconstruction operations, support infrastructure and security efforts, to overcoming the delay that could reduce the city's ability to rise and meet the challenges left by the long years of injustice and underdevelopment during ISISI domination. It must be pointed out that the terrorist organization's attempts to pose a threat once again through sleeper cells and hide in areas populated by civilians, which requires greater support for our forces in this area.
