Security Forces arrest SIS cell in Deir Ezzor

After several assassinations and targeting many civil and military employees, the Internal Security Forces launched search operations in the area, followed by a security campaign during which they arrested the members of that cell.

 In this regard, the administrator in the General Administration of the Internal Security Forces, Bashar al-Saab, said: "After the search, investigation and follow-up, the locations of several people belonging to the terrorist organization ISIS were identified in the Zer area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor."

 And Al-Sa'ab indicated that "the members of the terrorist cell were in separate houses in the area, and each member of the cell has a specific competence in terrorist acts."

 Al-Saab pointed out that "most of the members of the cell are princes and executors of assassinations and are responsible for planting explosives and for securing the logistical needs of the members of this cell in ISIS."

 Al-Saab pointed out that "in coordination with the international coalition, the Internal Security Forces were able to impose a security cordon on that area and comb it and arrest the members of the terrorist cell completely within the coordination and tight work of our competent forces within the Public Security Service and Special Forces (HAT), and thus purifying the Zer area of ​​that  cells".

 Al-Saab stressed that "they continue to protect the region and deter terrorism."
