Sheikho reveals a new toll of Turkish crimes in two months in occupied Afrin

In a special statement by ANHA agency, Sheikho stated that the crimes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have continued against the indigenous population of Afrin since its occupation in March 2018, and are escalating daily amid the silence of international and human rights organizations.

During their monitoring of crimes committed by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against the indigenous population during the past two months of August and September, Sheikho stated that they documented the abduction of 291 citizens, including 25 women, and the murder of some 5 citizens.

On October 13^th, mercenary groups abducted 10 civilians from the village of Mamlo in the occupied Rajo district of Afrin, bringing the number of abducted in Afrin to 301.

In his speech, Sheikho referred to a crime that took place last Monday in which a mercenary of the so-called " Jabha Shamiyah " fired and injured a citizen (Leila Ahmed Omar), from the residents of Kafar Shel belonging to Afrin city centre, and injured her husband in the leg after resisting the mercenaries.

Sheikho said that the mercenaries fired live bullets at the citizen (Laila Ahmed Omar) and her husband, because of the citizen's claim to her house located in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in the center of the occupied city of Afrin, and it was seized by the mercenary leader, who also accused her of dealing with the institutions of the Autonomous Administration as an excuse for not handing over her house.
He referred to logging operations by the Turkish occupation under the pretext of building main roads, stressing that the main objective of logging was to eliminate Afrin's nature and sell firewood for financial benefits.
Theft of 220,000 tons of olive oil in Afrin

he drew attention to the fact that, after the occupation of Afrin in 2018, the occupation and its mercenaries stole 70, 000 tons of olive oil and exported it to Spain as a Turkish product.

The spokesman for the Human Rights Organization Afrin- Syria, Ibrahim Sheikho, added, concluding: "During 2019 Turkey stole some 50,000 tons of olive oil in Afrin, and in 2020 it stole about 100,000 tons of olive oil and exported it to the United States of America as a Turkish product, noting that it had been discussed by the Turkish State of Hatay Agriculture Chamber and subsequently sent a delegation to America to make a deal regarding the export of oil to America."
