PYD condemns continuation of Sere Kaniye-Gire Spie occupation

General Council of the Democratic Union Party, the PYD, condemned the continuation of the Turkish occupation of both Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi renewing pledge to fight until victory attained.

In a statement released today, the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, the PYD, stated:

''On 9 October 2019 in an already prepared scenario Turkish aggression into Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi was commenced in a terrorist process under Peace Spring to subvert Kurds and other components and to occupy more Kurdish, Arab and Syriac villages.

Two years on as the Turkish occupation and the mercenary factions are dominating Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi as they are war spoils the same that applies to Afrin. Robbery, stealing arrests and demographic change are common issues in addition to deporting and displacing hundreds of people from their indigenous villages living in IDP camps amid very hard circumstances.

Turkish and mercenary crimes are not confined to these rather even the ''drinking water was not spared as the city of Hasaka and its periphery are suffering from water cut and deprivation after the Elok Water Station in the eastern countryside of Hasaka take possession by mercenaries'', the statement added.

PYD confirmed they are clung to dialogue as a way to a solution to a democratic, plural and decentralized Syria, and to march on the course adopted by martyrs and to fight until occupation terminated.

The statement called on the international community to bear responsibility towards blatant breaches of human rights and to implement all UN relevant Res concerning the political solution in Syria without marginalizing any part and to establish right of the Kurdish people and all AANES in democratic and an decentralized Syria''.
