Aram Hanna: Occupation's crimes focused during our meeting with Geneva University delegation

On Thursday, the Syriac Military Council received a delegation from the University of Geneva concerned with international law to discuss the latest developments, the violations and crimes committed in the region in light of the ongoing wars and continuous attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

Concerning the meeting which was closed to the media, the Official Spokesman for the Syriac Military Council, Aram Hanna, told ANHA, "By receiving a delegation from the University of Geneva concerned with international law, we provided a comprehensive view of the violations and crimes committed in our areas over the past years of war, which are considered violations and breaches of international law, which were committed by ISIS mercenaries, for these crimes to be completed by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries."

He added, "We have provided some examples of these crimes, among them the targeting of service and public facilities, such as targeting schools as happened recently in Kozliya village, southwest of Tel Tamr district on the M4 international road by the Turkish occupation."

Hanna noted, "In the course of the meeting, we had explained the latest violation regarding sentencing our captives for life imprisonment, as we explained to the delegation that the Turkish occupation state had violated international laws and the Fourth Geneva Convention when it lured Syrian citizens into its territory and they were tried according to Turkish law."

Aram Hanna stressed, "We, as military forces, assured the delegation our full commitment to the treaties and pacts that were previously signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the United Nations, and we are publishing these agreements as instructions for our forces to abide by them."
