Yazidi Union warns againt Başûr becoming another Afrin

In a written statement, a copy of which we received, the Union commented on the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party for the Turkish occupation in its attacks on Başûr Kurdistan in Southern Kurdistan."

At the outset, the statement noted that "once again the scene of treason on the Kurdistan scene of the Kurdistan Democratic Party is repeated through its clear engagement with the Turkish occupation army over its occupation of Kurdistan."

Laliş is in danger between treason and occupation.

The statement confirmed that " Laliş is in danger between treason and occupation," referring to the history of Turkish occupation and Kurdistan democracy against the Yazidi society, and stated: "Their history is clear towards the values of our people, Şengal, Afrin and Serêkaniyê , and the forces of the PDK abandoned Şengal and Laliş shrine in 2014."

Union explained that "we have lost faith in this party, which has a long-standing approach in dealing with the attacks against our Yazidi society during the decrees in Kurdistan, " adding that "had it not been for the Guerilla and YJA-STAR forces, Laliş and Şengal would have in danger."

The Union appealed to the Yazidi community to protect our "values, culture and history," calling on the political forces, the Kurdistan regional parliament and civil society organizations in Kurdistan to move towards the unification of national and political positions.

 “We warn against turning Başûr into Afrin again.”

He expressed his concern about the presence of "Turkish terrorism" in Başûr Kurdistan, warning that Başûr would turn into Afrin again.

The Union concluded by noting that the Turkish occupation, which is fighting its wars depending on the "traitors," is bombing Şengal "permanently and seeking to obliterate our values and religion in Afrin.
