Co-chairs of canton councils in NE Syria: Maximum support must be given to Guerrilla's resistance

Co-chairs of the canton councils in north and east Syria warned that any slackness in supporting the Guerrilla resistance against the Turkish occupation would jeopardize the fate of all components and peoples of the region, and urged the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK) to retreat its policies supporting the occupation.

Co-chair of Hasakah Canton Council, Khebat Suleiman, denounced PDK's complicity with the Turkish occupation, "there is a shameful complicity by PDK."

Suleiman added, "The Turkish goal is the extermination of the existing components, the repetition of scenario of the Armenian genocide previously, and the striking of the Autonomous Administration project and the peoples' fraternity that stem from the thought and philosophy Leader Abdullah Ocalan."

Suleiman pointed out that "the peoples of the region and the components of Hasakah canton in particular are aware of the seriousness of these attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army."

Struggle must be escalated to prevent the recurrence of occupation scenarios

Suleiman called on the people to escalate the struggle to prevent a recurrence of "the scenarios that occurred previously, such as the Turkish occupation of Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî."

In turn, Co-chair of Qamishlo Canton Council, Perwin Youssef, described PDK's standing by the Turkish occupation as "betrayal," saying, "PDK is again supporting the Turkish occupation and Erdogan that seek of whose attacks and policies to exterminate Kurds."

Perwin Youssef affirmed "the Kurdistan Communities Union's call for uprising against the policies of the Kurdistan Democratic Party that support the Turkish occupation in Başûr Kurdistan," adding, "We will be ready and continue to go out to squares until we achieve Kurdish unity, and liberate the land of Kurdistan from the mercenaries of the Turkish state, and we will support the resistance that appears in free Kurdistan Mountains by HPG fighters.

There is a danger to the Kurdish gains throughout Kurdistan, and a national conference must be held as soon as possible

Perwin Youssef added, "There is a threat to the historical Kurdish gains throughout Kurdistan, especially in Başûr Kurdistan. Turkey's attacks do not target PKK only, but the whole of Kurdistan. Therefore, Kurds must participate in activities to deter treachery and occupation."

She called on the Kurds throughout Kurdistan to "unite their ranks and forces in the face of treason and occupation, and to give way for achieving unity by holding a national conference as soon as possible."

In a related context, Co-chair of Kobane Canton Council, Leyla Ahmed, indicated that the Turkish occupation state is trying to ignite strife among the Kurds to achieve its interests in the region, stressing the need to unite in the face of the Turkish enemy and not to be drawn into its interests.

For his turn, Co-chair of the Executive Council of Afrin region, Bakr Alo, highlighted the dangers facing Southern Kurdistan, "Başûr Kurdistan may be exposed to processes of demographic change and forced displacement."

Alo stressed that "Turkey is not only targeting Kurds, but also all components within these areas, and PDK's betrayal of Kurds will not work, as Turkey does not recognize the Kurdish presence."

Alo pointed out that "the people of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons are ready to confront all the plans being hatched, and we will remain organized to confront this occupation."
