​​​​​​​Muhammad Bineyan: AANES is a national project

The administration project in the regions of northern and eastern Syria, which stems from the idea of ​​a democratic nation, was announced on January 21, 2014, in the provinces of (Al-Jazirah, Kobani and Afrin) at the time, following a series of meetings organized between parties, organizations, forces and movements in the region, from the Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Armenians and Jagans.

The Autonomous Administration project develops day after day,  welcomed by the people of all regions of northern and eastern Syria and the various Syrian regions and abroad, as the project greatly contributed to protecting the region from mercenary groups  and providing services..

The project was transformed into an administration representing the will of the people of North and East Syria on October 6, 2018, when the establishment of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria(AANES) was announced.

Since the first day, it has been subjected to counter attacks at various levels, starting from the mercenary groups and agents of some regional powers and neighboring countries, to political, diplomatic and special war campaigns. The main goal is to thwart this societal project, which is the first of its kind in Syria and the Middle East. 

Chairman of the Arab National Authority, Muhammad Bineyan explained that it "was formed after the influx of mercenary groups to the regions   under the pretext of fighting the regime, and during that period a large security, administrative and service vacuum occurred, and the components of society had to cooperate and proceed." In the direction of preserving civil peace, and working to preserve the infrastructure of the regions in the Jazira region at first.

He pointed out that the components of the region met in order to develop a participatory work program, to secure services for the community and defend it, and the Democratic Autonomous Administration emerged from those meetings, and was established from all components of the region at that time, and a work plan was developed on how to secure services for the citizen and maintain security in the region until the end of the Syrian crisis and finding consensus with the Damascus government.

'Our concept in the AANES is not a separatist one.'

 He said: “We see that Syria is for all components of the Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs. Our concept within the Autonomous Administration is not a separatist concept. We do not accept an attack on state sovereignty, and reject the foreign presence.”

Bineyan emphasized that the Autonomous Administration, over the past years, was able to prove its success, manage the region, fight terrorism, preserve regions and infrastructure, and provide services to citizens. He said: “The Autonomous Administration project, in essence, is to run the community itself, and not as it is promoted and claimed by some. A separatist project. We in the Autonomous Administration, the Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs, have basic constants. We are not against the symbolism of the Syrian flag that represents all Syrians. We demand a democratic, free and sovereign, international and regional Syria.

Binan also explained: “We preserve the integrity of the Syrian territories. From our perspective and we do not accept any divisive project for it. For the sake of drafting a constitution that protects the rights of all components of Syrian society, we want Syria to be a model for freedom and democracy, and this will be part of understandings.

 He pointed out that there is a project with the Damascus government, which is an expanded local administration project, and the Democratic Autonomous Administration has a project.  Both parties must debate in order to reach what achieves the state’s sovereignty, and what achieves the interests of the peoples of the northeast Syria.

'The Autonomous project, the beginning of salvation for Syria'

Bineyan believes that if the Damascus government takes the decentralized project seriously, it will be a successful project and the beginning of salvation for Syria. .

The head of the Arab National Authority confirmed that the Damascus government is required to open the door to political dialogue, and said: “The political dialogue is a very important dialogue, and all components must participate in it.” He touched upon the meetings that were taking place at the Russian base in Hmeimim, and said: They were coming to a group and claiming to represent the Kurds, they did not receive components representing the Autonomous Administration. The owners of the idea of ​​Autonomous Administration should be invited to implement decentralization in a way that preserves state sovereignty and protects the rights of citizens in northeast Syria.

He stressed the need to acknowledge that there is a real Syrians’ project and to recognize that it is the right of the people and the components to propose a project that safeguards the unity of the Syrian lands.”

 AANES does not pose a threat to the Damascus government'

 He indicated that the AANES’s project does not pose any threat to the Damascus government, but rather strengthens it, because it is a national project. He said: “The Autonomous Administration considers itself part of Syria.”

On the reasons for Turkey's intensification of its attacks on the regions of northern and eastern Syria, Bineyan said: “The Autonomous Administration project satisfies all components of society and strikes the Turkish regime in the depth; Turkey is now a dictatorial and expansionist colonial state led by the dictator Erdogan, who It is feared that this project will move to Turkey. "

'Turkey uses Arab tribes as clothing'

Muhammad Bineyan asserted that the Autonomous Administration is a democratic project that protected Syria and the Syrian people, and sent a message to all the Syrian people, saying: “There is no clause within the Autonomous Administration calling for the robbery of the decision or separation, but rather calls for thinking in the interest of Syria and establishing a decentralized democratic system. ".

The head of the Arab National Authority, Muhammad Binan, explained: “There is no such thing as an opposition abroad, and this one that claims to be opposition has not provided anything to the Syrian people.” He called on the Damascus government to increase confidence among the Syrian people, and to draft a new constitution that protects the rights of all components of society.
