Since the 23rd of last April, the Turkish occupation army has launched genocide attacks on Legitimate Defense Zones (Medya) in Başûr Kurdistan, specifically the regions (Zab, Avashin and  Metîna).

This comes in the wake of the attacks launched by the occupation on Gary last February, and before them in Haftanin during the month of July of last year, in which I suffered terrible defeats.

Commenting on Turkey's objectives, the repercussions of its attacks on the region, and ways to limit Turkish ambitions, Zubair  Ayydar,  member of the Executive Committee of the Kurdistan Communities Union , KNK, spoke to ANHA.

At the beginning of his speech, he recalled the history of the Turkish state and the beginnings of its construction, and said, “We must know the reality of the Turkish state and its attacks at the present time?  The Turkish Union and Progress that rejected minorities and other ethnicities, as Article 66 of the Turkish Constitution is concerned with introducing the Turk to the holder of Turkish nationality while rejecting other ethnic minorities, with Ataturk's arrival to the rule of the Union and Progress Association.

"It was prohibited to use non-Turkish languages in the media and education, and it was also imposed to adopt Turkish names, and the names of many cities, including Arabic in the south, were converted into Turkish names, and publications and cultural activities other than the Turkish language." he said.  in short, whoever lives there must be a Turkish, Hanafi Muslim, in this way they formed a nation of one color.

 'Filter all exhibitions'

He pointed out that the extermination was exercised on all those who violated these nationalist policies, saying, "And those who opposed their hateful racist policy, they were exposed to weapons to eliminate it."

He recalled the genocides committed against the Armenians, Syrians, Chaldeans and Romans, and confirmed that what the Kurds are facing in their geography in  Bakûr,  Başûr and Rojava is a continuation of that policy, and he said: “Now, in the same way, they want to liquidate all the Kurds. "

He pointed out that the Turkish occupation state, after 2015, occupied Syrian regions as a new goal for it, and stated: “With Turkey's decision to expand the territory it occupies, taking advantage of the opportunity in 2016 by directly attacking the neighborhood, on the 24th of August, He entered the Syrian territories via Jarablus, and occupied it on the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Marj Dabiq. "

'Timing'

He added, "occupying Syrian regions was not a coincidence. Rather, Turkey wanted to deliver a message of the Ottomans, who defeated the Mamluks in Marj Dabiq to announce that it will continue their fascist approach. "

Noting that Turkey, in this way, occupied Jarablus, al-Bab, Serêkaniyê, Tal Abyad, Afrin in northern and eastern Syria.

He pointed out that “just as they attacked the areas of Xwakurk and Haftanin in Başûr Kurdistan, they are now continuing their campaigns in the same way also in the regions of Zab, Metina and Avashin,” adding: “The timing of these attacks was also not a coincidence, as the attack came on the 24th of April, which coincided with the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, also known as (Red Sunday).

'Red Sunday'

He went on to talk about Red Sunday, saying: “106 years ago witnessed displacement, execution, assassination, rape, starvation, murder, poisoning and burning that affected one million and 500 thousand Armenians, and in its attack on the Medya on this day the Turkish state wants to resurrect a message that it will repeat the genocide that was committed against the Armenians, this time against the Kurdish people. "

Turkey’s ambitions and its commitment

The Kurdish politician noted that the Turkish occupation is currently aiming to control Iran's borders up to Afrin, to separate the regions of northern Iraq, Başûr, northern Syria and Rojava, but this is only the first step of the Turkish plan. However, these lands belong to Turkey, and must be returned, and that is why we continue step by step to achieve these goals. "

He stressed that what the occupied territories are witnessing falls in the same context, citing what is happening in Afrin, saying, “When looking at Afrin, we see that they have turned it into the Turkish region of Hatay, as they carried out the demographic change. "

"Their policies are running in all the occupied regions of Syria, and all of them come within Turkish plans," he added.

'Objectives'

He indicated that the recent attacks are nothing but liquidation of the PKK, striking the gains made by the people in Western and Southern Kurdistan."

He explained that Erdogan today sees himself as superior to Kemal Ataturk, and puts himself in the position of Mustafa Selim and the Caliph of Islam, so he seeks by various means to fight the Kurds, so all Kurds must beware these plans, and in particular the administration of Başûr Kurdistan because this approach threatens the Kurdish presence. "

He commented on the position of the Başûr Kurdistan government, saying: “The Prime Minister of Başur made a shameful, and unacceptable statement in any way, when he said that the Turkish state does not have a problem with the Kurds, but with the PKK.”

"In this regard, I want to ask him: The Turkish state genocided the Kurds in the last century, was the PKK there then? When Abdul Salam Barzani was arrested and executed in Mosul, was he a member of this party? Was Sheikh Saeed too?" He asked. "

'Call and claims'

He said that such statements do not express reality, and he called for Turkey's policy to be well understood, indicating that it antagonizes the Kurdish people.

Regarding the Kurds fate in light of the continuing international silence, he said, "Everyone should reject Turkish policy and raise the rejectionist voice in the face of Turkey."

He added, "The National Conference held on May 15 an expanded meeting of Kurdish parties and legal Kurdish figures in the four parts of Kurdistan and abroad in this context to come up with a unified position against Turkish policy and its attack on the lands of Başûr Kurdistan, and the conference came out with a set of decisions rejecting Turkish policy and its attacks."

At the end of his speech, a member of the executive body of the Kurdistan Communities Union, Zubair Ayydar, called for an end to the Turkish occupation policy, calling on the Kurdish parties, forces and the government of Başûr Kurdistan to break their silence about the attacks. He indicated that in this way, we break the international silence and thwart Turkish plans. As happened before that, he broke that international silence about Kobane, and said: "We have the opportunity, the possibility and the right time, and the unification of efforts must be accelerated., he said, "Everyone should reject Turkish policy and raise the rejectionist voice in the face of Turkey."
