The Kurdish Women's Organization for Relationships is leading a campaign against genocide policies against women under the title: “We weave a protection network for life, we stop the political extermination of women, and in order to revive the pioneers, we will not allow new massacres against women activists.

The Kongra Star and the Women's Council of the Future Syria Party from the regions of North and East Syria will participate in the campaign.

Member of the Administrative Board of the Kurdish Women Organization for Relations, Mîral Cicek, spoke about the goals of the campaign.

'We will stand up for women leaders'

She noted that they have established a platform to launch a joint campaign, saying, "In recent years the number of platforms and initiatives fighting for women's rights has increased at the global, regional and local levels. The struggle of women against the extermination of women has also escalated, and all murders against  Women have been subjected to it is part of the policy of extermination directed against women. Our platform mainly focuses on the topic of killing of women leaders, and will lead an effective struggle against that, and will work to raise this issue, so far these killings are being dealt with as individual events, and we want  raising this systematic truth, clarifying and revealing this truth and knowing its causes, and most of these incidents go unpunished, and we, in turn, will wage a legal and judicial struggle against this phenomenon, and we will defend our women leaders. "

'The attacks are universal and the struggle must be joint'

Turning to the global attacks on women, she said that overcoming this gender-based system requires building democratic women's alliances, adding in this regard, "If women are able to build their democratic alliances in the world and strengthen relations to reach the levels of building coalitions, then  We will be able to wage a common and effective struggle because the anti-us forces are also building their alliances. The targeting of women leaders and the policies of genocide against women are based on alliances between killers represented by the state, mercenaries, capitalist forces and companies, and in Kurdistan, alliances between the state and mercenaries are strengthened.

73 women's organizations and 181 women activists from all over the world will participate in advertising the platform, but later hundreds of women's organizations and individuals will be organized on this platform, and we can update it in the future, as the number of participants in it will change.

Each of the Kongra Star and the Women's Council of the Future Syria Party participate in the platform from the regions of north and east Syria, and women from the Arab community and other indigenous communities play an important role in leading the region, adding diversity to it.  Enemies of women seek to block the path to any social change and transformation. "

As for the platform’s short-term goals, and the medium and long-term goals, she said, “Decisions were taken by the platform's councils. Short-term goals were set, which is to organize 4 seminars with the aim of introducing the platform.

The medium-term goals are to work on building a database that includes information on many topics such as extermination plans against vanguard women from 2000 until now, and all this information will be recorded and archived in the database.

As for the long-term goals, we will work to establish an alternative court for women in accordance with the mentality of women and the cultures of the societies, and in addition to this, a relentless struggle will be waged from the legal and political point of view to limit the escape of perpetrators from the punishment.

We do not expect the state to achieve justice, because it is part of this problem, but these perpetrators should not go unpunished. "

On this global struggle, she said that they will strive to announce a global day, "International Day of Struggle Against the Killing of Women Leaders," to be an international and historic day for women and a day to escalate the struggle.

'Struggle together for North and East Syria'

With regard to the common struggle against femicide in the regions of north and east Syria, Maral Cicek said, "Women in the regions of northern and eastern Syria are particularly exposed to dangers and threats, and it is of the utmost importance to wage a common struggle against this phenomenon, and if we really want to protect women's leadership of revolution, change, social and order building  Alternatively, we must fight a common struggle together. We hope that women in the regions of North and East Syria will actively participate in the activities of the platform. "
