To condemn the Turkish occupation army's attacks on the Legitimate Defense Zones, and violation of the Syrians' rights by withholding the Euphrates water from them, the political parties in the city of Aleppo denounced those crimes and attacks, in a statement.

The statement was read by the administrator of the Women’s Council in the Future Syria Party, Khaleda Abdo, in front of the Martyr Destina Square in the eastern section of the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, in the presence of dozens of representatives from the parties represented in the Syrian Democratic Council.

Khaleda said at the beginning of the statement, "The Turkish army, which is proud of its strength and boasts of its capabilities, has been defeated in Metina, Avashin and Zap. Its strength has also been destroyed and lost its prestige yesterday in the resistance of Heftanin and the great Garê and under the blows of the People’s Defense Forces." Although trying to hide its losses, the occupation pulls out dozens of dead and wounded every day by helicopters from the battlefield, with heavy losses. "

With regard to the reducing Syria’s share of the Euphrates waters, Khaleda added, "In order to complete Turkey's role in Syria, the Turkish occupation authorities continue to deprive the Syrians of their share determined in accordance with international law from the water of the Euphrates River."

The statement considered Turkey's reduction of the level of water flow in the Euphrates River "a crime that threatens an environmental and humanitarian catastrophe and stops irrigation of crops at the height of the crop's need for water. It also reduces electricity production, increases the percentage of organic and industrial pollution in the river basin and lowers water resources, which is contrary to the principles of the Charter of Rights, human and international and humanitarian law acquires special danger, because it coincides with the fourth wave of the Corona pandemic that threatens the world.

The statement indicated that "the parties represented by the Syrian Democratic Council in Aleppo are in solidarity with the Syrian people."

The statement also appealed to the signatories of the Paris climate agreement "to put pressure on Turkey to allow the flow of the Euphrates River to avoid the aforementioned disasters."

In its conclusion, the statement also called on the Syrian government "to undertake its responsibility about these serious Turkish violations and the United Nations and international agencies concerned with food and health issues, and to act immediately to confront the coming disaster and to affirm the neutralization of the water paper from the occupation policy and its colonial plans aimed at pressuring the Syrian people to reach its illegitimate goals.
