The Russian Military Police and Turkish occupation launched a new joint patrol in the western countryside of Ad-Derbasiyah district.

The patrol is the 46th of its kind, which roams the countryside of Ad-Darbasiyah district, since the patrols were conducted between the two sides, in implementation of the Sochi understandings reached by the Russian and Turkish presidents on October 22, 2019.

The patrol set off from the gate of the border village of Shirk, 13 km west of Ad-Darbasiyah, consisting of 5 Russian and 4 armored vehicles for the Turkish occupation, accompanied by two Russian helicopters.

The patrol is expected to tour villages located in the west and east of the Ad-Darbasiyah district, namely, “Shirk, Qarmani, Tal Kaddish, Ghanamiyya, Karaqatli, Tal Teri, Baba Mahoudi, Tal Karma, Khasaki, Bouhariya, Jawhariya, and Kharza.”

The Turkish occupation armored vehicles will return to Turkish territory, and the Russian armored vehicles will head to their base in Qamishlo.
