Kobane people: Targeting leader's house is targeting our values, foundations

The people of Kobane said, "The Turkish occupation state targets our values and our foundations by targeting the house in which leader Abdullah Ocalan stayed in the village of Albalur, west of the city."

Today, at dawn, a reconnaissance plane belonging to the Turkish occupation state targeted the house where leader Abdullah Ocalan stayed in 1979 for more than 40 days, while crossing for the first time to Rojava.

The bombardment caused damage to the historic house, and the people of Kobane considered it a target of their values and foundations.

The citizen Ali Issa condemned the bombardment and said, "This is not the first time that aircrafts belonging to the Turkish occupation state have targeted our values and foundations, but rather they have already done so before, even civilian homes were not spared from their strikes, and we consider targeting the leader's house a target of our most precious values."

He added, "The occupation state has a goal that it wants to achieve by shelling all these places, and knows that no one will stand in its way, and we hope that the major powers will stand in its face, otherwise it will go on bombarding homes and committing massacres."

The Turkish occupation state had previously bombarded civilian homes, such as the home of Amina Wessi in the village of Helenj last year, after which she was martyred with the struggler Zahra Berkel and Heboun Mulla Khalil, the two members of the Kongra Star Coordination.

As for Najib Mohammed, a resident from Kobane, he said, "We strongly condemn the bombardment that targeted the leader's house, at dawn today, and caused damage to it. We consider it a new aggressive act practiced by the occupying power to break our will, and we say to it "whatever you do, we will continue resistance."
