Health Body: Emergence 3rd wave COVID 19 threatens to impose curfew

Co-chair of the Health Body, Joan Mustafa has confirmed that the decision to impose a total or partial curfew in NE, Syria depends on the number of infected persons that will be recorded in the next days, alluding that the 3rd wave of COVID-19 is more dangerous and faster.

9,297 have been infected in NE, Syria with COVID-19, including 361 deaths, and 1275 cases of recovery, according the daily statistic of Health Body in NE, Syria.

He continued, saying" the 3rd wave of COVID 19 is more dangerous and faster, indicating that the age group from 20 to 35 is more vulnerable to infection with the virus.

He stressed that the Health Body still discuss the decision to impose a total or partial curfew in NE,Syria, explaining that this: "It depends on the number of infections that will be recorded in the coming days."

Added " the Health Body continues in its precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID 19, noting that the medical staff are fully ready to respond to any infection case."

On securing vaccines for NE, Syria, he stressed that the Health Body is continuing its discussion with the World Health Organization to secure vaccines, indicating that the World Health Organization does not show actual convergence to deliver the vaccine to the region.

He concluded, saying "preventive measures must be taken for confronting the outbreak of COVID 19."
