QAMISHLO - SULAVA ABDEL RAHMAN

The Turkish authorities has been imposing tight isolation on the peoples' leader, Abdullah Ocalan, who has been detained in solitary confinement since 1999 to the present day under false pretenses and pretexts, through which the Turkish authorities aim to distance the people from their leader.

A few days ago, the Kurdish street in the four parts of Kurdistan revolted against the backdrop of some Turkish media publishing allegations about the deterioration of the health of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

In this context, politicians in Qamishlo canton indicated that the Turkish state has been known since ancient times for its crimes, including arbitrary arrests and violations of human rights.

Member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Arifa Bakr, expressed her concern about the Turkish authorities' insistence on not allowing the leader's family and lawyer to meet with him, noting that the policy practiced by Turkey will lead to dangerous consequences.

She added, "There has been no information for a long time about the leader's health status, while it has recently spread on social media that the leader's situation is unstable, and this has created an atmosphere of tension and fear."

Arifa said that the Turkish state cannot be trusted, as it is the archenemy of the Kurdish people and has plotted a conspiracy against the leader and now continues against the Kurdish people to eliminate them.

On the launch of initiatives, activities and calls for the freedom of leader Ocalan by many independent figures and various organizations at home and abroad to stop isolation, Arifa explained: "Everyone is aware that the key to freedom and solving the problems of the Middle East is at the hands of leader Ocalan."

Arifa called on the international community, human rights organizations, the International Committee for the Rights of Political Prisoners, the human rights bodies and the Committee against Torture to visit the leader immediately and issue statements about him.

It also called on independent women politicians and human rights defenders in north-east Syria and inside Syria, in addition to the women of the organizations and feminist movements in the world to go out to the squares and demand the freedom of leader Ocalan.

In the conclusion of her speech, Member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, Arifa, noted that the continuation of the conspiracy and the tight isolation by the countries' alliance is a shameful act.

For her part, Member of the Kurdistan National Congress - Rojava, Derya Ramadan, said: "Turkey's statements about the deterioration of the leader's status came to break the will of the Kurdish people and break their morale, especially after the victories achieved by the fighters in Gara."

She added: "Turkey is committing flagrant violations against leader Ocalan as a detainee and violating all human rights laws on political detainees and international laws, by depriving him of his most basic rights, such as his family visiting him, so the authorities concerned with the rights of detainees must implement their laws on the ground without keeping them under comment on paper."

Derya Ramadan wondered, "The leader Ocalan has been detained since two decades between four walls and iron rods. Why do countries remain silent about him and about all the crimes and violations that Turkey commits against the leader and our areas?"

She made clear: The Kurdish people, especially the people of Rojava, derive their strength and morale from the leader Ocalan, so the Turkish occupation with these statements would like to break the resistance of the people against whom multiple crimes were practiced by the occupation.

In the conclusion of her speech, Derya Ramadan called on the United Nations, the International Court, and human rights institutions to fulfill their human and human rights duty and to break their silence towards the leader who seeks to secure all peoples of the Middle East their rights and enjoy peace.
