On March 11, the European Parliament adopted a draft resolution accusing Turkey of committing crimes in Syria, and calling for the withdrawal of its soldiers from the occupied territories, describing the Turkish presence in Syria as "occupation." The European Parliament approved the bill, titled "10 Years of the Syrian Conflict".

The European Parliament also confirmed that the Syrian Democratic Forces have played a role as an ally in confronting ISIS/ Daseh mercenaries in Syria.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, in a tweet on his Twitter account, said: “We welcome the European Parliament’s decision calling for the withdrawal of the illegal Turkish occupation forces from northern Syria, and we share the European Parliament’s concerns about the ethnic cleansing attempts by Turkey against the Kurds in Syria.
