On Saturday, forces from the "Fifth Corps" of Russia imposed their control over "al-Thawra" oil field southwest of al-Raqqa, after the "Fatimid" groups affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard withdrew from it.

In addition to its control, on Friday night, over the "Twainan" gas field in the al-al-Tabqa area in the countryside of al-Raqqa, at the administrative borders of the northeastern desert of Homs, according to Al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper.

It is noteworthy that the production of "al-Thawra" field is currently estimated at about 2,000 barrels of oil per day, compared to six thousand barrels before 2010.

The "Twainan" field, which was under Iranian control and supervised by the "HESCO" company, produces about 3 million cubic meters of clean gas per day, 60 tons of domestic gas, and 2,000 barrels of condensate.

Russian forces have controlled the fields of al-Taym and al-Ward in Deir-ez-Zor since last summer, while Iranian groups have controlled the fields of al-Hasyan and al-Hammar in the countryside of al-Bukamal, since ISIS/Daesh mercenaries were expelled from them in 2017.

On the other hand, according to local sources, Russia kept the fields of "al-Hasyan" and "al-Hammar" in the countryside of al-Bukamal, under the control of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, which refused to hand them over under the pretext of signing investment contracts with the Damascus government for a period of 10 years.
