This came through a written statement issued by the Kurdish national unity parties in Syria today, in which they said:

“Since the start of the revolutionary movement throughout Syria in mid-March 2011 and then the start of the Rojava revolution on July 19 2012, we, the Kurdish national unity parties in Syria, regardless of our presence in several political structures previously, have sought to arrange the Kurdish house and the unity of political discourse among the movement’s parties Kurdish people in Syria to face the difficulties and dangers that targeted our existence as a people on their historical land.

We are about to enter the eleventh year of the start of this revolution, and what our sons and daughters have made in our military forces like the People's Protection Units and Women’s Protection Units, the last of which is the Syrian Democratic Forces, of great and honorable sacrifices in the face of terrorism and occupation makes us more adherent and urgent in the unity of the Syrian Kurdish ranks to face the stage in which we are living and which we consider it a crucial stage for any political and constitutional entitlement for our Kurdish people and all of Syria.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces has launched an initiative for the unity of the political discourse between us and the Kurdish National Council in Syria, with the support of the United States government and other friends, was a step in the right direction to overcome previous mistakes and move towards a solid tomorrow to ensure the future of our people in Rojava, despite the obstacles and the difference in vision and the theses between us and the parties in the Kurdish National Council in Syria regarding some controversial matters, but we were able to overcome many obstacles and made a lot of leniency for what is in the public interest, and we also call on the masters in the Kurdish National Council to offer leniency in the remaining steps to make this initiative which our people are looking forward to with considerable optimism and hope.

We in the Kurdish national unity parties in Syria affirm and stress once again our keenness for the success of the initiative for the unity of the Kurdish ranks and political discourse for the good of our people and Syria in general.
