Four sources in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) confirmed that international military forces will remain in Afghanistan after the deadline of the US agreement with the movement, which was set at the end of April, in a move that would raise the ire of the Taliban movement, which demands the withdrawal of foreign forces from the country.

To this, one of the four sources added to "Reuters", today, Sunday, on condition of anonymity, saying: "The terms and components of withdrawal have not yet been completed," explaining that with the new US administration there will be an amendment to the hasty withdrawal decisions.

For his part, another source said that "the strategy for the exit of forces from Afghanistan in the Biden era will be better and more fluid than before."

The administration of former US President Donald Trump had signed an agreement with the Taliban early last year, which called for the withdrawal of all foreign forces by May of this year, in exchange for the movement's implementation of certain security guarantees.
