Vice-Presidency of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Badran Çiya Kurd, indicated that there are no meetings between them and the Damascus government because of its mentality, explaining that there are discussions and meetings with Russia, and he said, “Russia must fulfill its duties and work to end this incitement and provocation, the purpose of the provocation is the outbreak of an internal war in the region."

Badran Çiya Kurd noted that the political agreement within the framework of a Syrian constitution will end these provocations and incitement, and the crisis in general, and if they insist on their plots and these provocations, then the terrorist factions will benefit from that, and said, "If the Damascus government insists on these policies, it will lose the Syrian regions, which was controlled with Russia's help."

This came in an interview conducted by Hawar news agency ANHA with the Vice- Presidency of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Badran Çiya Kurd, about the crises caused by the Damascus government in the regions of northern and eastern Syria.

The following is the text of the interview:

* For some time now, the regions of northern and eastern Syria have been witnessing a crisis between the Internal Security Forces and the Damascus government. What is the reason for this crisis?

The Damascus government pursues filthy policies against the regions of northern and eastern Syria, and has been exerting pressure on citizens for some time, as it has put dozens of them in its prisons, and it imposes a siege on the areas of al-Shahba and the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the city of Aleppo, and prevents aid from reaching the areas where our displaced people live, and imposes large taxes on them, and they are exploited as a trade that benefits from them, and this is a very serious problem, as they work on several axes to create a crisis, create sedition and provocations, and fabricate plans in an attempt to create sedition between the coexisting components in the region, and tamper with the stability and security situation  in the regions of northern and eastern Syria, all this is in an attempt to thwart and undermine the Autonomous Administration.

The Damascus government does not accept the existence of the Autonomous Administration and its institutions, and adopts the mentality of denial and rejection permanently, and until now it uses the language of hostility against it, and claims that it is a separatist project, and that the Syrian Democratic Forces are terrorist forces, and the reason behind the recent crisis is that the Damascus government has arrested many citizens Accordingly, the security forces also arrested a number of their forces, and in this way the crisis appeared, and its latest practice was to collect a number of people forcibly and take them to the checkpoints of the Internal Security Forces, with the aim of deepening the crisis.

* According to information, the Damascus government has recently strengthened its forces in the region, bringing in forces loyal to Iran called "Fatimid Brigades" to the region. What is its goal in that?

The government of Damascus has forces in the security square and the airport, and it is possible that it has strengthened its forces there, and it is known that it has cooperation and relations with several powers in the region, such as Russia, Iran and Hezbollah, and through this it is working to fabricate crises and provocations, and we have information that it has been trying, for some time, to organize Arab clans, and the formation of sleeper cells, to exploit them against the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces, and many of the kidnappings and killings were carried out by people directly linked to the Syrian intelligence, and the aim of them was to create a crisis between the Kurds and Arabs, and to provoke an internal war in the region, and to reach these goals, they deliberately to take big moves, in which the officials made very clear statements in this context, and said, “rise up against the Autonomous Administration and the SDF, and we are with you.” And through these statements and practices, they commit daily massacres in the areas that have been liberated recently, and there are many mercenaries. We have those who committed the massacres, and they are linked to the Syrian intelligence, and they have confessed to their crimes.

*This crisis is escalating at a time when the Turkish state threatens to launch attacks on northern and eastern Syria. Is there a link between the crisis provoked by the Damascus government and the threats of the Turkish state, and what is the goal of the Damascus government?

There is cooperation and partnership between the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation, on the one hand the Turkish state is threatening, and on the other hand the Damascus government practices these violations, as they are trying to launch attacks on the region in all areas and from the four sides, and Erdogan is seeking, through the consolidation of his relations with the government of Baghdad and Tehran, to launch attacks on the achievements of the Kurdish people, Şengal and the Autonomous Administration.

* Is there a possibility that the Damascus government will launch large-scale military attacks on the region?

It is possible that the Damascus government and its aides will not resort to the method of launching military attacks against the Autonomous Administration, but with its intelligence it is trying to undermine the region and thwart its project by creating crises and igniting strife, and for this, the Autonomous Administration will not allow the implementation of these plans in any way, while it is alert and aware with it, and it will continue its struggle in this context, and the Autonomous Administration does not want to favor the military option against the Damascus government, but in the event that the Damascus government launches attacks on the region and targets the region’s security and stability by military means, without a doubt, the Autonomous Administration will defend its gains.

* After the visit of Turkish intelligence advisor Hakan Fidan to Damascus, these events were fabricated ′ ′

The Damascus government practiced practices and violations in our regions before, and these violations and practices have escalated in the recent period. Its policy is “We have finished our work in other regions, the Autonomous Administration areas remain, and for this we must create crises in them, create problems, and form pressure on the Autonomous Administration. We control those areas. "

Meetings have taken place between the Turkish security institutions and the Damascus government, as well as many discussions between the two parties, and the Autonomous Administration was among these discussions, as it is trying to unify its visions and opinions to develop plans for this, and therefore the sense becomes clear as follows, on the one hand the fascist Turkish state escalates its attacks, massacres are being committed in the areas of al-Shahba and Tal Rifat, as well as Ain Issa, with the aim of occupying it, and in conjunction with that, the Damascus government follows the same policies, besieging the areas of al-Shahba and the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, and escalating its practices against the Autonomous Administration in its regions, and this is a participatory policy between the Turkish state and the government of Damascus, the Turkish state’s policy against the Autonomous Administration is the policy of denial, and therefore it supported the mercenaries by various means in order to thwart it, and the Damascus government is also working along the same lines.

* Do you have any meetings or discussions about these crises with the Damascus government or Russia?

There are no negotiations between us and the Damascus government at present, because it does not have the will and is not concerned with decisions, but we have communication with the Russian side, Russia is the mediator that works to calm the situation, and there have been several attempts by Russia to solve this problem, as it was released. Some of the detainees were from both sides, but the number was very small.

Unfortunately, the next day, the Damascus government returned to its previous actions, and at the present time we are dealing with Russia directly, and we have relations with it, and in this regard, we hope that Russia will play its role and prevent such actions by gangs and intelligence of the Damascus government.

* Did the Autonomous Administration instruct the Damascus government to withdraw from the regions of north and east Syria?

We do not have any decision or proposal in the Autonomous Administration demanding the Damascus government to leave the security square, so the decision to leave and remain is in the hands of the Damascus government, and whether it left or not, our project as an Autonomous Administration in all cases is based on the principle of Syrian territorial integrity and we will continue to work for it, and to achieve that we will do whatever we must do, and we will make more political efforts to find a lasting solution with all parties.

* If this tension continues in this way, then where is the region heading?

The problem between the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government is deep and large, and if a political agreement is not reached within the framework of a democratic constitution for Syria, then there will always be chaos and problems, and we are firmly insisting on a permanent solution in Syria, and we want the forces involved in this matter to move quickly for the sake of find a political solution.

The Damascus government is responsible for deepening and escalating tensions, and it must quickly abandon this racist mentality, because if it does not give up this mentality, the mercenary groups will continue to benefit from this status quo, and this will return the situation in Syria to the beginnings of the crisis, and the government will lose the areas that She was able to get it back via Russia as well.

* You described the disturbances in the region as provocations by the Damascus government. Do you have any invitation to the people of north and east Syria in this regard?

Our call to the peoples of the region in general, especially the Arab people, not to be deceived by the plans and provocations that the Damascus government raises, as it wants to destroy fraternal relations between peoples, and everyone must preserve the existing peace and not be dragged behind serving the interests of the Damascus government, and protection is the basis of victory.

To end this tension, the Damascus government must release all detainees from the region who have been placed in its detention centers in Damascus, al-Hasakah, Qamishlo and Aleppo, and the siege on al-Shahba canton and the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood must be ended immediately, open the way for the passage of humanitarian aid, and abandon attempts to stir up sedition. and chaos in the region, and disrupting peace. We do not wish to provoke crises. Rather, we support political dialogues that lead to lasting peace.
