Notables: All peoples demand end to isolation on leader Ocalan

Clan chieftains in Deir ez-Zor stressed the need to break the isolation on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and emphasized that imposing it without end indicates the Turkish state’s hostility to the foundations of coexistence.

The Turkish state continues violating the minimum standards of human rights and international covenants concerning political detainees, through the isolation it imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Notable of the Salman clan, Salah Salman, pointed out that Turkey seeks to impose isolation "to eliminate democratic freedom."

Al-Salman pointed to the involvement of Great Powers in the policies applied in Imrali, where the leader is imprisoned, "enemy states aim of this conspiracy to eliminate the leader's ambition to implement freedom, democracy and the liberation in the Middle East and worldwide."

Al-Salman pointed out that there are popular demands in the world and in northeast Syria from all components and spectrums of the people, including Arabs and Kurds, and from various Arab and foreign nationalities, for setting free the leader.

Al-Salman appealed to "anyone who is pro-democracy and humanity, and the Arab League demand an end to the isolation of the leader and his freedom."

In a related context, the notable of Sheikh Hamad's clan, Hammoud Kassar, said, "The case of the leader Abdullah Ocalan is a well-known issue aimed at democratic freedom," and continued, "The goal and purpose of the Turkish government in its actions is to prevent the achievement of freedom and democracy, especially in northeast Syria."

"Because democracy and freedom are not commensurate with its aggressive policy against the leader Abdullah Ocalan," Kassar added.

Al-Kasar asserted that "isolation is an immoral act."
