Israeli raids target government sites in Deir Ezzor, Albu Kamal

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that at least 5 members of the Damascus government forces were killed in the Israeli air strikes, in addition to 11 groups loyal to Iran, explaining that the Israeli aircraft targeted weapons stores and military sites in eastern Syria.

The observatory stated that the Israeli aircraft launched "more than 18 air strikes in the area extending from the city of Deir Ezzor to the Syrian-Iraqi border in Albu Kamal desert."

According to the observatory, nearly 16 people were killed, including 5 government forces’ members and 11 pro-Iranian groups, "pointing out that the raids" resulted in the destruction of weapons depots. "

In the same context, the Damascus government agency, SANA, said, "After midnight, the Israeli enemy launched an air assault on the city of Deir Ezzor and Albu Kamal area in the southeastern countryside of the governorate."

The agency quoted a military source as saying, "on Wednesday, at exactly 01:10, the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression against the city of Deir Ezzor and the Albu Kamal area, and the results of the aggression are currently being verified."

"Our air defense media confronted repeated Israeli attacks during the years of the terrorist war on Syria," he added, according to what SANA reported.
