ISIS attacks government forces in Badia, Russian aviation launches 40 raids

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that ISIS mercenaries launched an attack on the sites of the Damascus government forces in the Syrian desert, amid the Russian warplanes carrying out more than 40 air strikes in the region.

The Syrian Observatory said that 3 Russian warplanes took turns this evening to bomb the Syrian desert, coinciding with an attack launched by ISIS mercenaries on positions of the Syrian government forces in the desert of Al-Ghanim Al-Ali and Al-Bu Hamad in the eastern countryside of Raqqa.

Warplanes also bombed Al-Sukhnah desert in the eastern countryside of Homs Governorate in central Syria.

Russian warplanes carried out more than 40 air strikes in various regions in the Syrian desert during the past 24 hours, without any information about casualties so far.

The Syrian Observatory monitored today that the government forces brought in large military reinforcements, which were deployed on the Athria-Khanasser road in the eastern Hama countryside, this comes in light of the escalating activity of ISIS mercenary cells in the Syrian Badia.
