​​​​​​​Trump administration expects another country to normalize relations with Israel

Israeli Jerusalem Post reported that the administration of outgoing US President Donald Trump is making continuous efforts to achieve a new peace agreement between Israel and another Arab or Islamic country, prior to the designation of President-elect Joe Biden.

A source in the administration of the current US President said that his country is pressing for the normalization of another Arab or Islamic country to its relations with Israel.

In recent weeks, sources in Jerusalem and Washington said that Indonesia, Mauritania, Niger and Oman may be the next countries on the list of normalization agreements, and there have been continuous reports of progress in Pakistan.

"We are working hard to achieve this," said the source, who was involved in negotiations over the Abraham Accords, while a second source in the Trump administration confirmed ongoing efforts.

During the past four months, the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco joined Abraham Accords, which established open and formal diplomatic relations with Israel.
