Due to the rapid outbreak by the pandemic, and a surge in infection cases, since March 2020, curfews were imposed more than a once in bids to curb the virus, in addition to preemptive measures as well as widespread disinfection campaigns that contributed to reduce outbreak of the virus.

According to Schematic diagram made by the Health Body, the virus is on the decline as  co-chair of the Health Body of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Joan Mustafa says : abidance by people to the curfew imposed and the preemptive measures taken contributed greatly to reduction of the virus, in all areas in North Eastern Syria, as the mutated strain deranges the whole world.

The mutated strain was first  recorded in Britain then it was Lebanon to be the first ever country in the Middle East to record the strain that is more dangerous .

Mustafa continued: people ought to abide by the preemptive measures and never take the virus lightly, as the mutated strain is never ruled out to be found in North Eastern Syria.

From his part, Dr. Ahmed Bozan, member to the Crisis Cell, and head of the Scientific Researches on the COVID-19 Pandemic in Kobani, made clear to ANHA that ''outbreak of the virus is limited in the city''.

Bozan added ''people ought to be the first shield to protect themselves from the virus and to refrain from gatherings'' as lack of commitment to the curfew contributes to outbreak of the virus'' .

The partial curfew imposed by the Crisis Cell of the Executive Council in North and East Syria was extended in the whole region as of December 21st, 2020, to January 4th, 2021.

In reference to the relation between the Health Body and the World Health Organization, Mustafa clarified that:'' everything goes on directly, to apply instructions made by the World Health Organization, and to meet the needs of the region with relation to the all necessary needs to combat the virus''.

Mustafa added :'' there have been bids by the World Health Organization to send vaccinations to Syria of which areas of North and East Syria, as deliberations and talks are under way lately with the  World Health Organization to send the vaccines to North and East Syria directly not via the Syrian Government''.
