Kurdish women: Capitalist system tries to block path to freedom alternatives for women, peoples

The Kurdistan Women Freedom Party Coordination said in its statement: "The alternating hunger strike by our comrades from the PKK, the Kurdish Women Freedom Party, Kurdish and Turkish politicians in prisons is very important and valuable. We salute the resistance of our comrades who turned the reality of prisons into a great arena for resistance. Resistance's voice raised for Apo in Kurdistan and the Middle East, and it will surely triumph."

The statement of the Kurdistan Women Freedom Party's Coordination included:

"We are in the forty-third year of the founding of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), at a time when new mythical works are being written on the pages of freedom line. The campaign "Stop Isolation, Fascism and Occupation, It Is Time for Freedom" which started for the freedom of our leader and was adopted by our people in the four parts of Kurdistan and Europe continues with great determination..

The freedom campaign for the Kurdistan Women Union and the Kurdistan Communities Union has created a big problem in society because the Kurdish people and their friends joined it in a big way.

Our fellow detainees in prisons from the Kurdistan Workers Party and the Kurdistan Women Freedom Party joined this campaign through a hunger strike campaign and freedom activities outside and inside prisons in the mountains and cities, which will liberate our leader, women and the Kurdish people and eliminate fascism.

Our era is witnessing a model war, on the one hand it is patriarchal domination, and on the other hand it is the line of democratic women and environment's liberation. This war established by the capitalist system to block the way to alternative freedom of the people and women's struggle is at the same time a major ideological war. Since hundreds of years and despite coups, oppression, emigration and tyranny, capitalism has failed to occupy our region of resistance, which is a freedom-producing region, and our geography in the Middle East, and our responsibility towards our homeland is greater than ever; it is now waiting for us.

Fascism and dictatorship have become a scourge on the Kurdish people and the peoples of the Middle East, and the level they have reached does not threaten the Kurdish people and the peoples of Turkey only, as Erdogan's fascist government stands as an obstacle to all kinds of solutions and democracy for the peoples of the Middle East, chiefly the Kurdish and Turkish people, and for this purpose it spreads destruction and extermination through ISIS mercenaries, contras, and so-called "Peshmerga Roj" forces, as well as through its military forces in all the areas it occupied, especially Afrin through kidnapping, assault, torture, massacres and brutal offensive policies against women, as it became the biggest threat and the most dangerous enemy to women.

The regimes of the Justice and Development Party, the Nationalist Movement Party and the Kurdistan Democratic Party are trying to hide fascism through the political, military and diplomatic attacks of Erdogan's fascist dictatorship, and are persistently demonstrating that the reason is the PKK, and the peoples of the world. The peoples of Kurdistan know rightly that the PKK protects and defends freedom and democracy for women and the peoples.

 Because our leader represents this thing, they tighten isolation on him in Imrali, and everyone who knows and sees this truth joins the freedom campaign launched by the Kurdistan Women Union and the Kurdistan Communities Union, this position is a revolutionary position, more dignified and of high value.

Guerrilla's Resistance

Starting with the Guerrilla forces in Şengal to Rojava, Southern Kurdistan, Northern Kurdistan, women in Europe and the Kurdish people, everyone continues to largely resist fascism, and the resistance in Garê and Heftanin against treason and fascism has been made clear as resistance to protect honor and human dignity and to achieve freedom. This is a woman's freedom struggle that our movement leads, and represents the bright future for women and peoples.

Likewise, every person must act responsibly at this historic stage and escalate the struggle for a free future for the Kurdish people. We call on women and youth in Kurdistan to continue their activities and lead them at all times, especially in the current crisis situation that leaves no room for fascism and betrayal.

With the relentless resistance in Heftanin and even Serhed, in all parts of Kurdistan on the basis of the freedom line of our heroic martyrs who have transformed the land of Kurdistan into a prison for enemies, and with the spirit of resistance they inherited to us, we pledge that the struggle will be crowned with victory."
