CONGRA GEL: PDK has handed over Shengal to the Iraqi Government

On the occasion of the Yazidi Ezi Day, co-presidency of the Kurdistan Peoples' Congress, the CONGRA GEL, has issued an statement today congratulating  the Yazidi community and the people in Kurdistan on such an occasion.

The statement reads as follows:

'' We hope that this Day be a chance to the unity of our people, and to preserve the gains made, by the resistance performed in Shenga''.

The statement indicated that policies adopted by the Kurdistan Democratic Party are hostile to Kurds. As the Yazidi people celebrates the Ezi Day in difficult conditions extremely, for the PDK has handed over Shengal to the Iraqi Federal Government in Baghdad, enacting the same scenario of 2014, as it was handed over to the ISIS mercenaries, but the Yazid people is performing immeasurable resistance against every ill of massacres and plots, politically and physically''.

Co-presidency of the Kurdistan Peoples' Congress congratulated '' the Shengali resistance heartily, as it is a heroic and historical one, our people has to know that the way to preserving Shegal's values in resistance, they ought to recognize their faith, for this, the Ezi Day is to be a means for preserving all gains and achievements made in Shengal''. 

The statement called on the Kurdistan people in and outside to deliver all necessary assistance and aid to the people in Shengal, as martyrdom of Mam Bashir was a big loss, and caused unspeakable pain to us and to the Yazid people as well, this martyrdom ought to be a model for us to increase fight in Shengal to preserve all values made by martyrs''.

The statement recalled the crime committed by Kurdistan Democratic Party, the PDK, as their forces abandoned Shengal to face the ISIS mercenaries, as the abandonment of Shengal by forces of Kurdistan Democratic Party in 2014, was adductive to the 74^th massacre, against the Yazidi people, as the alliance with the Iraqi Government in Shengal a continuation to that, for they want to subjugate people, to put an end to all gains made and demolish hopes and beliefs, for which the Kurdistan People would never stand hands folded''.    

The statement revealed t6hat the people organized themselves there, and formed Shengal Resistance Units, the YBŞ, and the Women's Resistance Units, the YJŞ, to defend their people, and deterred the 74^th massacre against Shengal to achieve all aims as today they are defending against the alliance of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Iraqi Federal Government.

At the end, the statement called on all Kurdistan people inside and outside Kurdistan to deliver the needed and necessary soirit of resistance and victory, and to increase fighting to foil the plots hatched against Shengal''.
