On Sunday, PDK forces attacked one of the “Guerrilla” fighters of the People Defense Forces (HPG) in the vicinity of the village of Sikri in Amediya area, Başur Kurdistan. The attack resulted in the injury of 3 of HPG fighters, two of them, were serious.

In this context, the writer Bashir Mulla Nawwaf denounced the attack on the HPG’s points, and said: “This is a very dangerous escalation in these sensitive conditions, as the Rojava regions are under constant Turkish attacks and Başur Kurdistan as well. There is a wave of protests in Başur, so neither the social, political or security situation can bear such an escalation.

Mulla Nawwaf explained that the Turkish occupation has been utilizing its full military power to weaken the PKK, without achieving the desired results, so it takes KDP as a new mean for that end.

'dangerous moves'

Mulla Nawwaf added: “Intellectuals believe that the KDP moves are very dangerous at a time when the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) seeks to prepare the ground for resolving the outstanding differences, but KDP is going against the tide ".

Nawwaf indicated that the KDP is acting under Turkish orders, and at the end of his speech he called on KDP to serve the interests of the Kurdish people, and to move away from the dictates of the enemies.

'The attack serves the enemies'

For his part, the head of the Kurdistan Green Party, Luqman Ahmi, commented on the attack and said: "The attack is not acceptable to any Kurdish party or force at all, and these actions only serve the enemies of the Kurdish people."

He called on all Kurdish forces and parties to move in a spirit of responsibility. He continued: "The situation is very sensitive. There are conspiracies against the Kurdish people now, to deprive them of their legitimate rights, and gains."

Ahmi noted that the only solution to the outstanding differences is dialogue, and supporting the initiative of the KNK. In this regard, he said: "There is still an opportunity to resolve the differences. The KNK delegation is still present in Başur Kurdistan."

'Time for unity, not escalation'

He indicated that it is time for unity not escalating disputes. He added: “The PKK has been stationed for decades in the mountains of Kurdistan. Why is the KDP demanding its exit now?

It is noteworthy that this is the second time that the KDP forces launched attacks on the points of the People Defense Forces fighters, after it had mobilized its forces in the areas of the legitimate right to defense "Medya" recently, to obstruct the movements of the forces that prevent the Turkish occupation attacks on the areas of Başur Kurdistan.

On November 4, the Democratic Forces launched an attack on one of the HPG's ’points in Jumanki district, and the latter refrained from any clashes. The HPG forces’ leadership issued a statement calling on the head of the KDP, Masoud Barzani to clarify his position on the movements of his forces. Barzani responded evil of war statement.
