The UN envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen announced today that the meetings of what is called Constitutional Committee are resuming tomorrow, and he acknowledged that they were not as much as the Syrians' suffering.

"We did not live up to the expectations of the Syrian people to end their suffering," Pederson said during a press conference in Geneva.

He added that his powers were to assist in the adoption of a new Syrian constitution, but he admitted that they did not meet the expectations of the Syrian people to end their suffering, as he put it.

Pederson announced during his press conference that the Constitutional Committee meetings begin tomorrow and will focus on "principles of the constitution."

Regarding the previous rounds, the UN envoy said that the disagreements disrupted the political process in Syria, and we hope to push it forward.

Wat is called Constitutional Committee held several sessions in the absence of representatives of balanced Syrian forces on the ground, which led to its failure to achieve any significant progress.
