Total curfew gores into effect in the Euphrates Region

Total curfew, due to the Covid- 19 Pandemic outbreak, has gone into effect in the Euphrates Region of North and East Syria, in a bid from the region's administration to curb the virus in villages, town and cities of the region.

Kobani

Public utilities, groceries, worships places, schools, institutions of the AANES and those of civil society were all closed on the first day of the curfew, that stays in place until 26 of the ongoing November.

While all shops were closed, there have been some breaches on streets, due to security checkpoints absence in the city of Kobani, in the early hours of the total curfew.

On November 12^th, the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, had issued a decree to impose a total curfew on areas in the Euphrates Region, to curb the rapid outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic that infected hundreds of people in Kobani and it's countryside, besides tens of deaths on daily basis.

Until yesterday, 457 cases were recorded in Kobani, in official records, as PCR tests were taken in medical centers, but the real numbers are much higher.

Earlier, doctors, of whom surgeon Bakhtyar Mudaris al-Hisein and Ahmed Shahine called on people in Kobani to take all precautionary and preemptive personal measures and be vigilant and to abide by the curfew imposed to avoid a much bigger catastrophe.
