Reactions continue to reject the efforts of the Kurdistan Democratic Party to spark an internal war in southern Kurdistan.

In this context, 119 figures of the people of Garmian area in the Kurdistan region demanded to establish peace and initiate dialogue between the Kurdish parties, through a statement.

The statement indicated at the outset the dangers of any Kurdish infighting over the security and stability of all parts of Kurdistan, and stressed the importance of sitting at the dialogue table to resolve points of disagreement.

The statement added: "The common point for all forces is ISIS mercenaries and the groups affiliated to it, and how all these forces fought in one trench against ISIS. This front must be built again, as a Kurdish force cannot direct its weapons to another Kurdish side, as the enemy states and terrorist groups target our regions, and there are daily threats to the Kurdish regions in Kirkuk and other regions, in addition to the constant bombing by neighboring countries that try to paint an inappropriate image in front of the international community for our society to target us.

The statement, issued in the name of the National Front in Garmian and signed by 119 patriotic figures, rejected “any war between the Kurdish parties and bloodshed on the territory of Kurdistan once again. Perhaps we have seen the repercussions of the civil war and its dire consequences more than anyone else; we hope no mother’s heart would grieve and young people would not give up their homeland because of wars."

The statement urged "all parties to engage in dialogue and pave the way for a solution instead of following threatening language."
