Kobane commemorates first anniversary of fighter martyr Hevrin

The Office of the FSP in the Euphrates region issued a statement, recalling in it the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Hevrin Khalaf on October 11 of last year in an attack of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on Girê Spî / Tal Abyad and Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain.

The statement was read by Jehan Khalil, deputy to the office of the Future Syria Party with the participation of dozens of civil institutions employees and members of the political parties in the canton. The participants carried flags of the party, pictures of the martyr Hevrin Khalaf, and banners with slogans denouncing the Turkish occupation.

The text of the statement reads:

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are threatening again the region to expand their areas of occupation and sow discord among the components of the NE Syria.

On October 12 of 2017, the Secretary-General of the Future Syria Party, Hevrin Khalaf and her driver, Farhad Ramadan were killed, despite her call for peace, the brotherhood of peoples and coexistence to be the voice of the free woman, as she worked to establish peace and end the destruction, preserve Syria and its people, and safeguard its rights and gains. She was calling for dialogue away from violence to bring Syria to safety.

They ended the life of Martyr Havrin with bullets, but they did not end the march of her struggle and the lives of thousands of Syrian women and the components of the Syria follow in her approach.

We announce “Campaign to Defeat the Occupation, Protect the Revolution and Escalate the Struggle for Freedom and Peace, to commemorate the first anniversary of the martyr Hevrin Khalaf, the Secretary-General of the party and comrade Farhad Ramadan, which started from October 9th.

We are continuing our struggle against the Turkish occupation, its fascist policy and ending its presence in our regions, and call on all Syrians to commemorate the first anniversary of the Secretary-General of the Future Syria Party, expose the crimes of the Turkish occupation and raise the voice of peace and truth. And we will continue our struggle and support all human rights and feminist organizations to prosecute the mercenary perpetrators of the Turkish occupation. We renew the covenant for the martyr and the martyr Farhad Ramadan and all those who struggle for the sake of the homeland and its freedom to continue the path and carry their legacy with loyalty and sincerity to build peace and reach a democratic Syria Decentralized pluralism.

The statement concluded by lighting candles in front of the pictures of the martyr Hevrin Khalaf and her martyr comrade Farhad Ramadan.
