Amina Osi: comprehensive initiative is necessary to face Turkish state’s ambitions

In conjunction with the first anniversary of the occupation of Serêkaniyê and Girê Sp, the deputy co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Amina Osi, spoke to Hawar News Agency.

Amina Osi said: “The Turkish occupation’s attacks on the region targeted the democratic nation’s project, and added:“ On October 9, a large and violent attack occurred. All regions of north and east Syria were safe.

However, with the attacks of October 9, the democratic system of peoples was targeted in these cities, and the attacks resulted in the death of dozens of civilians, and others were kidnapped, raped and assaulted, and great brutal crimes were committed before the eyes of the international community, including the brutal killing of the Kurdish politician Hevrin Khalaf.

Simultaneously, many Kurdish women who were working in civil, social and health institutions were also victims of brutal attacks, and the people were forced to flee their homes. However, the displacement situation did not undermine the will of the people, rather the struggle continues to return to their land and their homes. "

‘A democratic front must be formed against the Turkish moves′

Amina Osi pointed out the approach of ISIS mercenaries is still followed in the occupied territories: “For the first time in the history of Syria, women in the region were able to organize their ranks and perform their vanguard role, and this matter turned into a target for the occupation, and for this reason the politician Hevrin Khalaf and mother Aqeedah were targeted, and as they did previously in Afrin region, when they occupied Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi, they directly practiced the methods and culture of ISIS, as women were subjected to blackouts and forbidden to go out and work.

“We had also mentioned, during the recent campaign against ISIS in Al-Baghouz, that ISIS has ended militarily, but its mentality and mindset are still fresh, and that the recent attacks of the Turkish occupation state have revived ISIS again.

Amina Ossi added: "The attacks did not end with the occupation of the regions, since the beginning of the Syrian crisis until now, the Turkish occupation state and its occupation attacks have been the main reason for the deepening and complexity of the crisis, and the Syrian people in general must realize this fact."

Whoever prevents the solution to the Syrian crisis 9 years ago is the Turkish state, and it is preventing the stability of Syria, and creating chaos and wars through its mercenaries. The veto used by the Turkish state is the one that leads to the failure of all political talks and meetings and their failure to reach a result. The Turkish state, with its fascist Toranian approach, as well as the approach of political Islam, is working to fabricate crises and problems in all countries in which it interferes, and the emergence of any form of administration in the regions of northern and eastern Syria, and any practical endeavors, will not be in the interest of the Turkish state, and it will work to eliminate and end them by any means.

The Turkish intervention lies behind the failure of the Geneva talks between the political parties, and whenever any gesture for a solution appeared in any part of the Syrian territories, the Turkish state would intervene immediately, and whenever any social efforts such as efforts to organize women and youth appeared, the Turkish state intervened, and this intervention was done through intelligence Turkish (MIT)".

Although the struggle of the peoples of northern and eastern Syria revealed the mask of the Turkish state, all of this was not enough, and the international community did not take any positions from Turkey, and on the subject, Amina Osi said: “The international community practiced deception, and I believe that the Turkish state has an anti-Kurdish phobia only. However, the goal of the Turkish state is occupation, looting and plunder, as it extends its hand and intervenes in Libya, Greece, the Mediterranean and Armenia, and has sent hundreds of Syrian mercenaries to those countries.

Amina emphasized the point of having a common and unified position against the chauvinist approach that is allied with the approach of political Islam and poses a threat to the rest of the Middle East, the Arab world and Europe as well, and said in this regard: “If the positions of peoples, armies and international forces do not unite, no one can block attacks and the movements of the Turkish state, if the positions in the Middle East are not unified, the occupation cannot be reduced and the crisis exacerbated, the Kurdish, Arab and global democratic front must be united against these dangerous policies, everyone must say stop the policies of interference, intolerance and violation of the laws practiced by the Turkish state, and this is not important. The peoples of North and East Syria only, but everyone's mission, individual positions such as those of Libya, Egypt, Armenia or Greece will be in the service of the Turkish state and will not contribute to limiting the occupation, and therefore what is required is a comprehensive initiative, we must all fight jointly at various diplomatic, political, and even military levels, because this danger affects all of us. We women are standing up and resisting against all brutal crimes, and so must Egyptian, Armenian, Libyan, Greek and Arab women."

‘Turkey will continue its attacks whenever the opportunity arises ′

Turning to the violations of ceasefire agreements by the Turkish state, Amina OsI said: “Had it not been for the diplomatic and political pressure with which the Turkish occupation state faced during the attacks of Serêkaniyê and Girê Sp, it would have continued its occupation attacks until reaching Deir Ezzor, the occupation has been stopped to a certain extent, but the attacks are still continuing, and the Turkish state will launch new attacks whenever the opportunity arises, and we must be ready for them at any moment, because it has not yet abandoned its plan, and although the international powers tell us that they do not expect a Turkish attack, we do not believe it, because during the attacks of Serekaniye and Girê Spi, both America and Russia, until the last moment, were saying that Turkey would not launch the attack.

Turkey's history is known, and its plans to restore the Ottoman Empire are still in place, and Erdogan is betting on what he calls the conquests, to stay at power.

'The tactic has changed but the goal is still the same'

Amina Osi noted that the Turkish state changed its tactics, but it did not change its objectives, and said in this regard: “Its goal in the first phase was to seize land, but in the second phase it began using other methods such as assassinations, the recruitment of spies, and the conduct of a special war against society with the aim of convincing society of its existence, and the illusion of world opinion that it has social acceptance, we must be prepared for all these tactics and fight against them."

'Expanding the occupation zone and transferring mercenaries to other countries’

Amina Osi noted that the Turkish occupation state is transferring mercenaries from the occupied territories to other countries, saying: “The world powers do not make efforts for stability in the Middle East, and if there were such efforts, they would not remain silent about Turkey’s move to send mercenaries to other countries, rather, it turns a blind eye to the interventions and excesses of the Turkish state, global capitalism has reached the stage of blockage, and is getting its last breath from the Middle East, and therefore it does not make efforts to put an end to the Turkish state.

The threats of the Turkish state have not stopped, and we must confront them in various forms. The goal of the Turkish state in expanding the occupation is to send mercenaries to other countries. It imposes itself in the form of a government wherever it occupies, and exploits the youth segment in the occupied areas and sends them to Libya, Armenia and southern Kurdistan, we are sorry for the Syrian youth who rose up in the face of the Baathist regime, as they are now being exploited by the Turkish state."

'A contradictory international position on the administration: you must exist, your existence is not possible’

Amina Osi noted that the issue of dismissing the Turkish occupation from Syria is at the top of the agenda during the political meetings. She added: “The major countries have interests with the Turkish state, the question that poses itself is: why do Turkey and Russia refuse representatives from the regions of northern and eastern Syria’s participation in the political efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis?

Because the first topic that representatives of the northern and eastern regions of Syria will discuss if they participate in the talks, will be ways to protect the Syrian land and society, and the need to remove the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries from the Syrian lands, therefore, we always face the Turkish veto. Unfortunately, the international powers are subject to this veto, though they know that there is no solution to the Syrian crisis without the participation of the representatives of northern and eastern Syria. In the past, they did not deny this, but now say it openly: that political discussions in order to solve the Syrian crisis cannot succeed without the participation of representatives from the regions of north and east Syria, but nevertheless they do not make any efforts to include us in the discussions, and this in itself is a contradiction
