In Kyrgyzstan, the electoral authorities have canceled the results of Legislative elections after launching mass protests in the capital of Bishkek, during in which clashes took place, resulted in the wounding at least 120 civilians, forcing the Central Elections Committee to cancel the results of elections that held, on Sunday.

The Commission stated in a statement posted on its website on Tuesday that "the results of the legislative elections that held on 4 October 2020 have been canceled."

On Tuesday dawn, demonstrators entered the headquarters of the authority in Bishkek and the headquarters of the National Security Committee and released Jeenbekov' s rival, former President Almaz Bey Atambayev, who is serving an 11-year prison sentence. The storming of the government headquarters came after at least 120 people, half of them security forces, were injured in clashes in the capital, Bishkek, between police and demonstrators protesting against the results of the legislative elections.

Police used stun grenades and then tear gas to disperse hundreds of protesters who gathered in the center of the capital, and some of them tried to climb the fence of the presidential headquarters.

And the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health announced Tuesday that the confrontations resulted in one death, as a spokeswoman for the ministry said that "a person who was injured (in the confrontations) died," explaining that "it is most likely one of the protesters because he was wearing civilian clothes."
