Liwa Thuwar Idlib commander: what circulated by Turkish media is not true, its purpose to defame us

Liwa Thuwar Idlib is active in Manbij and al-Raqqa regions in northeastern Syria, and the majority of the elements are operating under the banner of the Syrian Democratic Forces, comes from the Idlib region in northwestern Syria.

Iskandar Alaa, Commander-in-Chief of Liwa Thuwar Idlib, referred to “the propagation of false news about the Liwa Thuwar Idlib's standing behind the bombings that struck the Syrian city of al-Bab” last May.

Alaa denied the validity of the Turkish allegations, noting that the Turkish occupation seeks to distort the image of the forces that embraced hundreds of families from the Idlib region in the regions of northern and eastern Syria at the beginning of this year.

He added, "It is not in our interest to kill our Syrian people anywhere. We are revolutionaries who fought against the criminal Syrian regime, and today we are confronting Turkey for its actions in northern Syria. They want us to turn into a tool in their hands to serve their policies against our people."

Threats and provocations against Alaa and his close associates

In his interview with ANHA agency, Iskandar Alaa confirmed that one of those close to him in Liwa Thuwar Idlib was subjected to an assassination operation to put pressure him, in conjunction with threats via mobile devices that affect him from the Turkish intelligence, and the tightening on his relatives inside and outside the country.

The threats come after the Commander-in-Chief of Liwa Thuwar Idlib revealed; Through previous interviews conducted by Hawar news agency ANHA about Turkish practices in the Idlib region, and the process of sending Syrian mercenaries abroad by Turkey.
