Since August 7, 2019, the lawyers of leader Abdullah Ocalan have not received any response to their requests that they submitted to the Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa to see and check on their client.

Amidst the reports of the European Union CPT Committee against Torture, which made it clear that the Turkish authorities violated the standards of humanity against prisoners of conscience, they did not fulfill their duty in the face of these violations that they are subjected to, and did not issue a decisive decision against the Turkish authorities.

In this context, the human rights defender Nariman Hussain spoke about the isolation imposed on the leader, saying, "The Turkish regime has imposed strict isolation on leader Abdullah Ocalan for many years amid international silence, and in light of many international laws that protect the rights of prisoners and detainees."

Nariman added, "The imposition of isolation by the Turkish state is a flagrant violation of international covenants and covenants related to human rights in general and the rights of prisoners in particular, and the right to visit and communicate is guaranteed by international laws, and this is a violation of the Turkish state and a violation of the most basic values and principles of justice."

The treatment of the fascist Turkish state has not changed in Imrali prison

Nariman touched upon the report prepared by the European Organization Against Torture, "The Organization against Torture of the European Union indicated in its report that it had met with all prisoners in Imrali prison during its visit, bearing in mind that the first visit was in 2016, but the prison system in Turkey and its treatment have not changed. It remained the same from 2016 until 2019. "

Nariman said, "International law, issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and prison officials, touched upon several very important principles that preserve the right of prisoners to physical and moral integrity, in addition to their right to successive visits and their right to legitimate defense and to live in an adequate standard of living. The Turkish state did not abide by it either. "

An intensive isolation on the leader to prevent him from solving the problems of the Middle East

For his part, a member of the Democratic Union Party, Asaad Manan, said, "For 21 years, the leader has been detained in Imrali prison, and he has been isolated, and this isolation was due to his ideology and philosophy hostile to the thought of capitalism."

Manan continued, saying: "There are many dilemmas in the Middle East, and leader Abdullah Ocalan said in one of his meetings: that he can solve all problems within the Middle East."

Manan also added: The leader wanted and was able to show the will of the people, to solve the pending problems in the Middle East, so international organizations must do their duty and put pressure on the Turkish authorities.
