16 killed in Syria through one day in separate incidents

At least 16 people have been killed in the past 24 hours in areas controlled by the Damascus government and the Turkish-backed mercenaries of the National Army, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

In the occupied city of A'azaz in the northern Aleppo countryside, three civilians were killed in an armed attack carried out by unknown masked assailants armed with machine guns, targeting a car dealership.

In the Damascus countryside, the town of Ashrafieh Sahnaya witnessed clashes between armed Druze members and forces loyal to the Damascus government, resulting in the deaths of a security officer and five local militants.

In a separate development, six members of the Druze community were killed. They had been injured in a previous ambush on the Damascus-Sweiyda road, carried out about a week ago by forces allied with the Damascus government.

In the northern Hama countryside, a minibus driver was killed by direct fire from unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle while he was in the minibus square in the city of Taybat al-Imam.

A child also died in the al-Qusour neighborhood of Hama from wounds sustained a few days earlier by a stray bullet from an unknown source.

At the same time, areas under the control of Damascus and the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation are witnessing a state of chaos and lawlessness, with murders and clashes escalating without any accountability or effective enforcement of the rule of law.
