New mass grave for victims of ISIS mercenaries found in Raqqa

The Initial Response Team of the Raqqa Civil Council found a new mass grave west of the city of Raqqa, which includes the bodies of most of them unidentified women, victims of ISIS mercenaries, bringing the number of mass graves that have been found to 27.

The Initial Response Team of the Raqqa Civil Council continues the process of recovering the bodies and searching for mass graves for the victims of ISIS mercenaries. After receiving information from the people of the western edge of the city of Raqqa, the team discovered a cemetery in the Furousiya area, and the remains of 3 people were recovered, so far.

According to the leader of the team, Yasser Al-Khamis, the victims of the new cemetery are mostly women, and they are among those who were executed by ISIS mercenaries.

In the same context, the team leader pointed out that during this month, the forensic team was able to discover the Al-Hatash cemetery, also north of the city of Raqqa, from which 17 bodies were recovered, which are also victims of field executions.

Of note, the initial response team has recovered more than 6 thousand bodies so far, of which only 700 have been identified, most of them civilians, ISIS victims, while the number of graves, with the newly discovered ones, reached 27 mass graves in various areas of Raqqa.
