The Kurdish Women Community (KJK) announced the martyrdom of a member of the leadership committee, Leila Agri (Felez Aslan), in an air strike on the legitimate defense zones of "Medya" last June.

The KJK continued in its statement: “Comrade Leila Agri was born in 1973 in Wan Ozalp. After graduating from high school, she joined the guerrillas in 1993. she said that she took her name from Laila Qasim. She developed her awareness and will through her meeting with leader Abdullah Ocalan. Through developing her self-confidence, Laila reached the stage of a new birth internally through her awareness of the truth about women.

The statement added: “Comrade Laila used to say: We learned from the leader (Ocalan) the strength to receive pain. It is necessary to transform every pain into a strong initiative and turn every place and moment into resistance. When we do this, our pain will diminish. We will be strong, because we have a promise to move forward. On the path of these beautiful souls until they achieve all their goals. "

The statement added: “In her character, Leila Agri developed the most effective representation of the women's freedom line of resistance and freedom that Ocalan demands. She was inspired by her friend Sakina Cansiz. I have succeeded in representing freedom leaders in the history of our women's struggle by making the most efficient and vital struggles of the Jin Jian Azadi Freedom Law. "

Thanks to Kurdish women leaders such as martyr Laila Agri, our Kurdish people and women defend the cause of glorious freedom with great efforts and resistance. They reinforced and integrated the struggle with the peoples and beliefs of the region.

Today, Kurdish women's resistance has given Kurdish women hope and inspiration for all the peoples and women of the world.
