After Turkey and its mercenaries cut off water from the city and its suburbs for more than 24 days and for the eighth time since its occupation of Serêkaniyê, the Water Directorate in the city sought to find an alternative to the Alouk station, located east of Serêkaniyê and occupied by the Turkish occupation army, by digging 50 wells in the Al-Hama station .

Al-Hama station consists of 50 wells, all of which are in service. The Water Directorate stated that 30 thousand m3 of water was pumped from Al-Hama wells towards water tanks in Al-Aziziyah neighborhood, east of Al-Hasakah city, which began distributing water to the neighborhoods of “Al-Salihiya, Al-Aziziyah, Tala'a, Khashman and Al-Mufti” at the present time.

The Directorate confirmed that the Al-Hama project does not fully meet the people's need for water, and that it will secure 50% of the needs of the city, in principle.
