​​​​​​​HPG inflict blows to Turkish occupation army in Heftanin

The Media Center of the Kurdistan People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement to the public opinion regarding the recent operations carried out by the Guerrilla Forces against the Turkish occupation army.

The text of the statement included:

"On Thursday, August 20, 2020, violent battles broke out between our forces on the one hand and the Turkish occupation army on the other hand in Birbulla area of Heftanin. During these battles, our forces managed to kill a large number of Turkish occupation army elements. In the morning hours on Friday and after the occupation forces received painful blows at the hands of the Guerrilla forces, the occupation forces attacked civilians in Baniki village and set fire on their homes. The latest information about the battles will be published periodically.

2 Turkish soldiers killed in Xakurk

As part of the campaigns of the Martyrs Ronia and Bagh, our forces targeted on Thursday, August 20 two military vehicles with 12 soldiers on their way to Armoush in the area of Xakurk. According to the information that our forces managed to access, the operation resulted in the killing of two Turkish soldiers and the wounding of two others. Then the Turkish occupation forces bombed the area and its surroundings with artillery.

Military operation in Judy and Harky

On the 17^th of August, the Turkish occupation forces launched a military operation in Harky, in Şemzînan, which began with scouting the area through reconnaissance aircraft. In addition, the military operation is still continuing.

On the same day and in the evening hours, the Turkish occupation forces carried out airdrops in Sefin, Jamal and Bari areas in Judy Mount. On the 18^th of this August and in the morning hours, the Turkish occupation forces began a military operation in those areas. On the same day at 05:00 p.m, Kurdistan time, the Turkish occupation ended its operation without achieving any desired results.

The Turkish occupation aircrafts bombed the lawful defense zones

The Turkish occupation continues its military operations against the legitimate defense zones in the media. In this context:

On Thursday at 10:44 local time, the Turkish occupation bombed the regions of Karker, Zab and Saja.

Yesterday, the Turkish occupation aircrafts launched 4 air strikes on Konîşka area in Zab, which led to the outbreak of fire.

At the 11:30, the Turkish occupation aircrafts bombed Coşîn area in Xakurk.
