The Undersecretary of the Accord Defense Ministry Salah Al-Din Al-Nimroush said during his meeting with the Qatari Defense Minister Khaled bin Muhammad Al-Attiyah and the Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar, who visited the Libyan capital today, that it was agreed to build tripartite cooperation betweenin order to raise the capabilities of the military institutions of the Government of National Accord headed by Fayez al-Sarraj.

It was also agreed to send Qatari military advisors to Libya to train Libyan personnel and to give Libya seats in Turkish and Qatari military colleges.

While Ankara continues to send mercenaries to his country, the Accord official said: "We agreed that political dialogue is the only solution to the Libyan crisis and the need to support this path that would enhance stability in the country."

This comes at a time when Germany is trying to breathe life into negotiations and install a ceasefire. Earlier today, its Foreign Minister Heiko Maas arrived in Tripoli, stressing the rejection of the military escalation and foreign interference in Libya, and the continued arming of the warring parties.

He also revealed that he will discuss the issue of the continued flow of weapons with the head of the Accord Government, Fayez al-Sarraj, in addition to discussing the establishment of a demilitarized zone in the vicinity of Sirte.
