Maas said: "We are witnessing a deceptive calm in Libya at the present time, especially since the two parties continue to arm the country on a large scale," and stressed that his country adheres to the Berlin path to resolve the crisis in Libya.

In addition, he revealed that he will discuss the issue of the continued flow of weapons with the head of the Accord Government, Fayez Al-Sarraj, in addition to discussing the establishment of a demilitarized zone in the vicinity of Sirte.

In addition to the German minister, Qatari Defense Minister Khaled Al-Attiyah and Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar also arrived at the Matiqa airport in Tripoli.

Turkey continues to send more mercenary groups and weapons to Libya, despite international calls to reject it.
