Shamo: Turkey seeks by its attacks to obliterate Kurdish culture

In a special statement to Hawar news agency (ANHA), a member of the Yezidi Women Movement," Êzîdxan", Hadiya Shamo, said that the Turkish occupation started its attack on Şengal province in Başûr of Kurdistan after many Yezidi families who had been displaced from Şengal after the 2014 ISIS mercenary attack had moved from Başûr camps to their homes.

More than 40 Yezidi families have returned over the past two days.

Hadiya Shamo pointed out that Turkey aims to prevent their return in order to remove them from their land, which is considered the cultural storehouse of the original Kurdish heritage.

Hadiya Shamo also clarified that what ISIS was not able to complete it, the Turkish occupation will continue to carry it out and carry out massacres against the Yezidi Kurds. She said: "Yazidis have suffered a lot from the ancestors of the Ottoman Turks throughout their long history and have been subjected to many massacres."

Hadiya Shamo said that the Turkish attacks came on the memory of the massacre committed in the hands of their Ottoman grandparents, in an attempt to eliminate and annihilate ethnic cultures and minorities.
