140 Turkish soldiers infected with Corona in Afrin, Idlib

The Governor of Hatay Rahmi Dogan announced at an opening ceremony in which he participated yesterday that 140 soldiers of the Turkish occupation army in Syria were infected with the Coruna virus, according to what the Turkish newspapers quoted.

According to Dogan, 120 people were infected in Afrin, while 20 cases were recorded in Idlib.

He claimed that "no cases were recorded among civilians" in the areas occupied by Turkey.

While Hatay Province denied, in a clarifying statement, that any cases of Corona virus were registered among the people in Afrin and Idlib regions occupied by Turkey.

It said in a statement that the total number of Corona virus infections in Hatay province amounted to 320 cases, noting that "the province's hospitals dealt with confirmed cases of military and civilian personnel that came from other Turkish states."

On Friday evening, the Turkish Ministry of Health announced that 15 new deaths of the new Corona virus were registered, in addition to the infection of 1,195 persons during the last 24 hours.
