Turkey reinforces its occupation by deploying Air defense systems in Syrian depth

Satellite imagery showed, according to Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper, that the Turkish occupation has deployed US-made Hawk Mi-23 (Earth-to-air) air defense systems in al-Mastouma camp, located 5 kilometers south of Idlib city.

Turkey is trying to consolidate its occupation of northern Syria by increasing the number of its military bases and sending military and logistical reinforcements on a daily basis to these sites, as well as thousands of Turkish soldiers, and this is not the first time that Turkey has deployed this type of system on Syrian territory, as one of them was deployed at the beginning in 2018, in the city of Darat Azza in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Sources from Turkey's mercenary gangs justified that the deployment of this system comes within the framework of the measures to confront any possibilities of its borders being exposed to any attacks from the Syrian side, in a step that legitimizes the Turkish occupation of Syria.

This system, which entered service in the American army in 1960 and is still used in a number of countries, is considered "offensive", targeting aircraft at a low altitude, starting from 60 meters, and reaching an altitude of 20 kilometers from the surface of the earth, and the range of its missiles, after modernization 40 kilometers.

Unprecedentedly, the newspaper stated that Turkish occupation begun military movements in the area, after visiting Turkish Defense Minister to border areas with Syria on last Saturday, where the army sent military reinforcement to its military positions and observations in Idlib, new Turkish forces convoy had entered including dozens vehicles the day before yesterday, from Kafr Lucien border crossing with the southern province of Hatay in Idlib, and the vehicles were distributed to (Turkish observation points) in a region called the De-escalation in the Syrian province.

This continues the Turkish occupation to bring large military frames into the Syrian territories, where they are sent to (Turkish observation points), loaded with armored vehicles, personnel carriers, tanks, artillery, radar devices, logistical materials, construction, prefabricated rooms and insulated walls.
