The uncle of the child, Abdo Sheikho, who was displaced from the occupied Afrin, Naguib Sheikho said, "Samarkand's mercenaries kidnapped my nephew more than a month ago, and threatened him if he refused to go with the mercenaries to Libya."

Sheikho condemned the violations committed by the occupied Turkish state and its mercenaries against the residents of occupied Afrin.

At the end of his speech, Sheikho appealed to human rights organizations and the United Nations to return the child Abdo to his family.
