ISF arrest a network of arms dealers in Kobani

Today, the Internal Security Forces (ISF) in the Euphrates region issued a statement today to the public opinion, where the Organized Crime Branch has arrested 7 people: a network of trade and theft weapons in Kobani canton.

The text of the statement read:

Today, Sunday, the nineteenth of April, the fight against organized crime was able to arrest a network of trade and theft of weapons in Kobani canton.

After monitoring and investigating for more than three weeks, the Organized Crime Branch was able to arrest seven people who steal and trade weapons, divided into three groups, stealing weapons, adjusting its specifications, and selling it.

The administrator in the Organized Crime Branch reported the confiscation of two Kalashnikovs, two Berno weapons, three, in addition to various spare parts for most types of weapons, and camouflaging their specifications.

Of note, our forces prevent the carrying of arms and trade in it, as it is a criminal offense that might lead to the weapon reaching people who are abusing it.
