The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that preparations are underway to open a commercial crossing between Heyat Tahrir al-Sham HTS and the Syrian regime near the city of Saraqib on the “m4” road east of Idlib.

The areas occupied by the mercenaries of Tahrir al-Sham” suffer from expensiveness of vegetables and agricultural crops, while the crossing will contribute to its increase due to the increase in demand.

The opening of the crossing comes in response to calls by citizens to close all crossings with the areas controlled by the regime after the outbreak of the "Corona" pandemic in their areas.

In the same context, the observatory monitored that the residents of Idlib governorate and its countryside expressed their bitter resentment over the opening of the crossing, which is an implicit recognition of the regime's sovereignty over the area that it controlled during a year of battles with mercenaries backed by Turkey.

It is noteworthy that during February, government forces managed to advance in Saraqib axis east of Idlib, and took control of the village of Neirab, located at the Aleppo-Lattakia international highway, and reached the M4 highway and managed to overtake it.
