Yousef addressed in an interview with our agency, the Turkish occupation army continued attacks on NE of Syria, failing to comply with international calls to stop the attacks, and focusing on curbing the Coronavirus.

"The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East of Syria is taking all the necessary measures to protect its regions from the Coronavirus outbreak, despite the limited medical potentials compared to developed countries," she said.

"We are able to protect the people from the virus, but we cannot prevent Turkey from its ongoing attacks on people," Yousef said.

Turkey violates international laws

Turkey violates the international laws and resolutions, saying: "With these attacks, the Turkish state is violating international laws and calls for an end to wars in these circumstances, as it has violated in the past on many occasions. It is directly involved in battles in Libya and NE of Syria."

The weapons which are used in attacking northern and eastern Syria do not belong to the mercenaries, but they are the Turkish occupation army's weapons, she added.

The occupation army is directly bombarding populated areas

"Al Shahba canton is being bombarded on a daily basis by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries. In the recent attacks, heavy weapons have been used, by the Turkish army that is directly shelling areas Shahba that is populated by people. This has resulted in civilian deaths and injuries." She said.

"In return for these attacks, the EU, UN and the international community must take a stand to deter the Turkish state's attacks".

Turkey is seeking to transfer the pandemic to the north and east of Syria

Yousef spoke about a Turkish call for transmitting the Coronavirus to the regions of NE of Syria, and said: " We have information about sending the Coronavirus-infected by the Turkish state people  to Afrin canton and the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî. It throws out the human rights laws. The Turkish state does not take a serious position on the Coronavirus despite its outbreak in Turkey; it is using the virus in its service against the people of Bakûr of Kurdistan ( Northern part of Kurdistan in Turkey) and targets its politicians. Turkish President Erdogan is a danger on the people of northern and eastern Syria and Kurdistan in general."

"Our position is to resist and respond to these violations within the limits of the self-defense rights against the Turkish attacks in the face of international deafness," she said.
